Analisis Sebaran Hotspot sebagai Indikator Kebakaran Hutan dan Lahan di Kabupaten Boven Digoel Provinsi Papua Selatan | Analysis of Hotspot Distribution as an Indicator of Forest and Land Fires in Boven Digoel Regency, South Papua Province

Kebakaran hutan merupakan salah satu permasalahan lingkungan yang sering terjadi di Indonesia, terutama di wilayah-wilayah yang memiliki tutupan hutan luas seperti Papua. Penggunaan teknologi penginderaan jauh, khususnya analisis hotspot, telah menjadi alat yang sangat efektif untuk memantau kejadian kebakaran hutan dan lahan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis sebaran hotspot berdasarkan jenis tanah dan tutupan lahan di Kabupaten Boven Digoel, Provinsi Papua Selatan pada periode 2015-2023. Data hotspot diperoleh dari citra satelit MODIS Terra/Aqua yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Jumlah hotspot di Kabupaten Boven Digoel pada tahun 2015 sampai 2023 sebanyak 224 hotspot yang tersebar di 11 jenis tutupan lahan. Jumlah hotspot tertinggi terdapat pada tahun 2015 sebanyak 195 hotspot dan jumlah hotspot terendah terdapat pada tahun 2017 dan 2021 dengan tidak ditemukannya hotspot. Jumlah hotspot pada jenis tanah mineral dan tanah gambut masing-masing terdiri dari 209 dan 15 hotspot. Jumlah hotspot tertinggi pada tutupan lahan terdapat pada lahan perkebunan sebanyak 55 hotspot dan pada tutupan lahan hutan lahan kering sekunder dengan jumlah 53 hotspot.

Forest fires are one of the most common environmental problems in Indonesia, especially in areas with extensive forest cover such as Papua. The use of remote sensing technology, especially hotspot analysis, has become a very effective tool for monitoring forest and land fires. The study aims to analyze the distribution of hotspots based on soil type and land cover in Boven Digoel Regency, South Papua Province in the 2015-2023 period. Hotspot data was obtained from MODIS Terra/Aqua satellite imagery and analyzed descriptively. The number of hotspots in Boven Digoel Regency from 2015 to 2023 was 224 hotspots spread across 11 types of land cover. The highest number of hotspots was in 2015 with 195 hotspots and the lowest number of hotspots was in 2017 and 2021 with no hotspots found. The number of hotspots on mineral soil and peat soil types consisted of 209 and 15 hotspots, respectively. The highest number of hotspots on land cover was on plantation land cover with 55 hotspots and secondary dryland forest land cover with 53 hotspot.
