실내위치인식은 2000년대 후반부터 시작된 소형 IT기기의 보급과 함께 활성된 위치기반 서비스를 배경으로 하여, 지금은 점차 많아지는 수요에 따라 그 서비스 영역을 실외에서 실내까지 확장하고자 관련 연구가 진행되고있다. 현재까지의 실내위치인식은 Bluetooth BLE나 WiFi 등의 근거리 통신 기술을 이용하여 실내 위치를 추정하는 기법과 여러 스마트폰 센서들을 이용한 실내위치인식 방식들이 주로 제안되어 왔다. <br> <br>최근에는, 머신러닝 기술의 발달로 AI를 접목한 컴퓨터 비전 기반의 방식들이 등장하면서 기존 방식들과 융합하는 방식과 실내 무인로봇 및 드론을 활용하는 실내위치인식 방식, 그리고 AR을 적용하는 방식 또한 등장하고있다. 이러한 방식들은 여러 기법을 이용해 실내의 특징들 혹은 무선신호를 수신하는 대상의 위치정보를 추출하고, 추출된 정보들을 가공해 미리 작성된 실내 지도 (indoor map)에 표출한다. <br> <br>하지만 이러한 연구들에서 이용되는 실내 지도는 실내 환경에 따라, 혹은 측위에 이용되는 기술과 기법에 맞추어 수동적으로 작성된다. 그렇기 때문에, 실내 환경에 변화가 생기거나, 대상 건물이 바뀌는 경우에는 실내 지도를 직접 다시 작성해야하는 번거로움이 있다. 이를 위하여 추가적인 현장 조사 역시 필요로 한다. 또한, 근거리 무선통신을 이용하는 방식들은 신호의 강도와 방향만을 토대로 그 수신 위치를 추정하므로 벽두께, 문과 벽의 위치 등 건물의 특징이 반영되지 않는다. 그러므로, 그 추정 결과에 대한 정확성을 판별하기 어려운 문제점이 있다. <br> <br>따라서, 본 논문에서는 다목적 실내탐색을 위하여 전자 건축도면으로부터 건물의 구조에 대한 정보를 추출하여 실내구조가 반영된 데이터구조를 자동으로 형성하는 방법을 소개하고, 이를 이용한 컴퓨터 비전 기반 실내위치인식 응용의 예시를 소개한다.

After the spread of small IT devices in the late 2000 and the activation of location-based services, the localization research is now being conducted to expand the service area from outdoor to indoor according to increasing demand. Until now, indoor localization has been mainly proposed by methods of estimating indoor locations using short-range wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth BLE and WiFi, and methods using various smartphone sensors. <br> <br>Recently, with the development of machine learning technology, computer vision-based methods incorporating AI have emerged, and methods of converging with existing methods, indoor localization using indoor unmanned robots and drones, and application of AR have also emerged. These methods extract location information of indoor features or targets receiving wireless signals using various techniques, process the extracted information, and display it on a pre-written indoor map. <br> <br>However, indoor maps used in these studies are manually prepared according to the indoor environment or according to the techniques and techniques used for positioning. Therefore, when there is a change in the indoor environment or when the applied building is changed, there is a hassle of directly rewriting the indoor map. For this, additional site survey is also required. In addition, methods using short-range wireless communication technologies estimate the reception location based only on the strength and direction of the signal, so the characteristics of the building, such as wall thickness, door and wall location, are not reflected. Therefore, there is a problem that it is difficult to determine the reliability of the estimation result. <br> <br>Therefore, this paper introduces a method of automatically generating a data structure reflecting an indoor structure by extracting information on an electronic architectural drawing for multi-purpose indoor search, and introduces an example of a computer vision-based indoor location recognition application.
