Английский. In this paper forest is treated in cybernetical approach as a model of an open System reduced to the distribution of stands in age-classes under the clearcutting system of management. Such a system changes its internal structure under the impact of environmental factors and affects the surrounding itself. Alterations in forest structure, reduced to changes in the distribution of stands in age-classes were Presented with the aid of matrix of transition probability and it was found that they are subjected to certain regularities which may be expressed by the formula: R 1 with prokability qj J : j + 1 with probability 1 — qj Nature of these relationships, i.e. sizes of qj coefficients, was studied at the stage of calculation of cutting budget and that of developing a cutting plan. It was found in this connection that at the stage of budget calculation the complete removal cf mature stances with the aid of clearcuts is assumed, but at the stage of the development of cutting plan this principle is abandoned and not only mature but younger stands are designed for cutting, although not all mature stands are decided to be cut. The application of the matrix of transition probability in studies made it possible to present changes in the distribution of stands in age-classes in entirety and disclosed divergences in the designation of stands for cut with clearcut method.
