Dataset for "Genetics in the ocean’s twilight zone: Population structure of the Mueller's pearlside across its distribution range" submitted to Evolutionary Applications, a Wiley journal. The information deposited here consists of one txt file (info.txt) and one excel file (Maurolicus_SNP information.xlsx) that contains four spreadsheets: a. 2034 mined SNPs: The information includes a list of 2034 very good SNPs obtained from pool sequencing: name of scaffold, locus name, and flanking sequences of minimum 100 bp for each SNP. b. 200 chosen SNPs: List of the best 200 SNPs arranged into multiplex reactions. c. Multiplex reactions: Detailed information for each of eight multiplex reactions in which the 200 SNPs were distributed. d. Raw data: Data obtained for all the individuals genotyped at 200 loci without any filtering. e. Data used in the study: Data corresponding to 863 individuals genotyped at 170 polymorphic SNPs after quality filtering. Data is provided in GenAlEx format to ease the conversion into other formats.
