Key outcomes evaluated included changes in liver enzymes, liver lipid content, inflammation markers, and histopathological improvements.

This review highlights emerging evidence supporting the potential therapeutic role of plant-derived hydrolysates and peptides in the management of MAFLD. However, more well-designed clinical trials with larger sample sizes and longer durations are warranted to elucidate their efficacy, optimal dose, and long-term safety.
