Raw BANDALA fibers are fine and can be produced into a yarn material with fine yarn count, low twist number, and high natural fiber content. All these properties prove that BANDALA is a promising raw material for textile production. Pilot-scale treatment, however, must be explored to determine the commercial and industrial performance of BANDALA fiber as a raw material for textile manufacturing. Fabric made from BANDALA-blended yarns is also recommended to be tested to study the performance of the new abaca variety for woven and non-woven applications.
