PL: Analiza jakości predykcji orbit satelitów śledzonych przez stacje SLR | EN: Quality assessment of the orbit predictions of satellites tracked by SLR stations

abstractPL: Wykonywanie satelitarnych pomiarów laserowych SLR jest uwarunkowane posiadaniem dobrej jakości predykcji orbit satelitów, które informują stacje laserowe gdzie wycelować teleskop, aby uzyskać zwroty odbitych impulsów od retrorefletorów umieszczonych na pokładach satelitów. Jeżeli przewidywania pozycji satelitów są mało precyzyjne, stacje SLR muszą korygować predykcje manualnie na podstawie obserwacji optycznych, przez co liczba zarejestrowanych obserwacji laserowych jest niewielka lub nie ma ich w ogóle. W związku z problemami z jakimi zmaga się Międzynarodowa Służba Pomiarów Laserowych ILRS w kontekście zwiększającej się liczby satelitów do których mają być wykonywane obserwacje, a także z małą liczbą pomiarów do niektórych satelitów, nastąpiła konieczność oceny jakości predykcji orbit dostarczanych przez różne centra obliczeniowe, zarówno pod kątem wyboru tych, które cechują się wyższą dokładnością przewidywania trajektorii lotu satelity, jak i tych, które wymagają poprawy ze względu na trudności jakie miałyby stacje laserowe, aby wykonywać pomiary. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest ocena i analiza predykcji orbit wybranych satelitów geodezyjnych, nawigacyjnych, a także naukowych, które są śledzone przez stacje laserowe. Badania obejmowały wpływ typu, położenia względem powierzchni Ziemi, a także oddziaływania Słońca i oporu atmosfery na predykowane orbity. Analizy zostały przeprowadzone w Autorskim programie pozwalającym na konwersję orbit zapisanych w różnych formatach oraz transformację między układami współrzędnych z uwzględnieniem różnych systemów czasu. W wyniku przeprowadzonych analiz udało się ocenić degradację jakości przewidywanej pozycji w czasie w zależności od badanego typu orbity i satelity, oszacować czas przydatności plików predykcji, a także wskazać centra publikujące najdokładniejsze przewidywania trajektorii lotu satelity. Najlepszej jakości predykcje osiągają wartości błędu średnio kwadratowego oraz odchylenia standardowego rzędu 0.5-1 m dla całego 5-dniowego pliku, natomiast te najgorzej przewidywane potrafią osiągać wartości nawet około kilku tysięcy metrów.

abstractEN: Performing satellite laser measurements SLR depends on having good quality predictions of the orbits of satellites, which inform laser stations where to aim the telescope, to get the returns of the reflected impulses from the retroreflectors placed on the satellites. If the predictions of the position of the satellites are not very precise, SLR stations must devote more time to take the measurements, and yet the number of the observations is small or there are none at all. In connection with the problems that International Laser Ranging Service ILRS struggles with, in the context of the increasing number of the satellites to be observed, and with a small number of the measurements for some satellites, necessity of the quality assessment of predictions provided by various analysis centers appears, both in terms of choosing those which are characterized by a higher accuracy in predicting the trajectory of a satellite flight, as well as those that need improvement due to the difficulty some of the laser stations to perform measurements. The aim of this study is to evaluate and analyze the predictions of orbits of selected geodetic, navigational and scientific satellites, which are tracked by laser stations. The research included the impact of construction, location relative to the Earth's surface, and the Sun's impact on predicted orbits. The analyzes were conducted in the Author's program that allows for the conversion of orbits stored in various formats, transformations between coordinate systems taking into account different time systems. As a result of the analyzes, it was possible to assess the degradation of the quality of the files over time depending on the type of orbit and satellite being studied, estimate the time of usefulness of the files, and indicate the centers that publish more accurate predictions of the satellite's trajectory. The best quality predictions reach the average error value and standard deviation in the order of 0.5-1 m for the whole file, while the worst ones can reach values of up to several thousand meters.
