Desenvolvimento de estratégias pedagógicas de educação ambiental no âmbito da educação infantil envolvendo os temas água e pegada ecológica. | Development of pedagogical strategies for Environmental Education in the context of Early Childhood Education involving the themes of Water and Ecological Footprint

Given the existing environmental problems, working with Environmental Education in Early Childhood Education is essential to awaken in children the interest about nature and promote the transformation of values. The Environmental Education proposal delimited here was applied in the municipal pre-school system of Uberlândia - MG, as an alternative to, initially, bring awareness to a group of 18 chidren, aged from 2 to 4 years old, as well as their families regarding the preservation of the natural resources, especially in relation to the themes of Water and Ecological Footprint. This research was carried out through a qualitative approach, using action research as a method, in which the child and the family actively participate as researched and researchers in the entire project. The chidren and their families participated in both the remote teaching modality, due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, as well as the face- to-face teaching modality. From previous diagnosis of chidren’s Knowledge about the topics covered in the research applied in the investigated group, several pedagogical strategies were adopted: chidren’s educational videos on the themes, storytelling through theater and book reading, music, dance, games and surveys applied in the form of images, all based on action research and with a content-rationalist educational approach. The proposals applied aimed at raising consciousness among chidren and their family members regarding pollution, contamination, water importance and its waste, focusing on its usage in daily activities and diseases related to it. The analysis of the results revealed that motivating pedagogical strategies are potential for raising awareness among students, but that they must become continuous to reinforce the environmental problem of the water crisis that devastates the world, as well as to establish in these individuals and their families the notion of conscious consumption.

Diante dos problemas ambientais existentes, trabalhar a Educação Ambiental na Educação Infantil é fundamental para despertar nas crianças o interesse pela natureza e promover a transformação de valores. A proposta aqui delimitada de Educação Ambiental foi aplicada na Educação Infantil da rede municipal de Uberlândia-MG, como uma alternativa para sensibilizar, inicialmente, uma turma de 18 crianças de faixa etária de 3 a 4 anos, bem como suas famílias, quanto à preservação dos recursos naturais, tratando especialmente dos temas Água e Pegada Ecológica. Esta pesquisa foi realizada por meio da abordagem qualitativa, tendo como método a pesquisa-ação, na qual a criança e a família participam ativamente tanto como pesquisados quanto como pesquisadores em todo o processo do projeto. Ambos participaram tanto da modalidade de ensino remoto, devido à pandemia causada pela covid-19, quanto do ensino presencial. A partir do diagnóstico prévio do conhecimento das crianças sobre os temas abordados na pesquisa aplicados na turma investigada, diversas estratégias pedagógicas foram adotadas: vídeos educativos infantis sobre as temáticas, contação de histórias por meio de teatro e leitura de livros, música, dança, brincadeiras e questionários aplicados na forma de imagens, todos fundamentados na pesquisa-ação e com abordagem educativa conteudista- racionalista. As propostas aplicadas visaram à sensibilização das crianças e dos familiares em relação à poluição, à contaminação, à importância e ao desperdício de água com enfoque no uso desta em atividades cotidianas e em doenças a ela relacionadas. A análise dos resultados revelou que estratégias pedagógicas motivadoras são potenciais para a sensibilização de educandos, mas devem se tornar contínuas para reforçar a problemática ambiental da crise hídrica que assola o mundo, bem como estabelecer nestes indivíduos e em seus familiares a noção de consumo consciente.
