The article describes the specificity of the mountainous region of Adjara in relation to the hydrographic network of rivers. It discusses the factors facilitating the development of debris flow phenomena and all possible negative consequences stemming from this. It also examines the transportability of large amounts of debris by both debris flow and non-debris flow rivers and all possible negative consequences arising from this.
