болгарский. The content of heavy metals extractable with organic matter fractions was determined in 5 profiles of Fluvisols (Eutric). The studied area includes the Ogosta River valley, between Montana city and Gavril Genovo village. The content аnd composition of organic matter were determined according to the method of Tjurin and method of Kononova-Belchikova, respectively. Heavy metals were measured in the fraction of soil organic matter — alkali extract; mixed solution of sodium pyrophosphate and sodium hydroxide; and acid solution of sulphuric acid.Soil organic matter type is mainly fulvic-humic to humic. Humic acids аrе bonded with alkaliearth metals, which is а precondition of favorable physical properties and low mobility of humus substances.It could be accepted both alkali extractants to characterize the bond between soil organic matter and heavy metals (Cu аnd Pb), which concerns in а lesser degree Pb. The validation of such kind of method is necessary for the future wide spread application.
