Inoculação de sementes com Trichoderma harzianum, tratamento fungicida e adubação nitrogenada na cultura do milho | Seed inoculation with Tricoderma harzianum as promoter and nitrogen fertilization in corn

This research was developed in the Seed Analyses Laboratory, in a greenhouse at the Agriculture Department experimental area and in the Pathology Laboratory of the Phytopathology Department - UFLA, having as main purpose to evaluate the effects of the interaction among seeds inoculated with the fungus Trichoderma harzianum, treated with fungicide and nitrogen fertilization of corn. Seeds from AG7575 and DKB747 corn hybrids treated or not with fungicide, with or without inoculum, before or after three months storage were used. Research was carried out with three experiments: first one was the physiological quality analysis by the germination, emergence and blotter test, adopting the severity level for inoculum and also the mycelial growth level. The results revealed that Trichoderma harzianum didn´t change the seeds physiological quality. The physiological quality of the inoculated seeds was not affected. In relation to sanitary analyses, Captan® fungicide inhibited the mycelial growth and the fungus severity, while Maxin® had no growth influence. The second experiment was carried out in the greenhouse in pots. Evaluations were: plant height characteristics, aerial dry weight and also roots dry matter weight. The results indicated that Trichoderma was present in the corn plants roots and that it also stimulated a higher quantity of dry matter in the roots. The third experiment was on the field in two crops: normal crop and winter crop. Experimental design was randomized plots in a split plot scheme, the parcel had (0, 60, 90 and 120 kg of N/ha) doses of nitrogen and the factorial subparcel (3 X 2) being the fungicides (Captan®, Maxin® and control) and inoculation (with and without inoculum). Agronomical characteristics evaluated were initial and final standards, plant height, and ear index, number of ears, ears insertion height, one thousand grains weight and productivity. Considering the results, it was possible to in for that Trichoderma harzianum stimulates a high production, an increase in plants height and ear insertion, depending on the season and the cultivar.

Este trabalho foi desenvolvido no Laboratório de Análise de Sementes, em casa de vegetação, na área experimental do Departamento de Agricultura e no Laboratório de Patologia do Departamento de Fitopatologia da Universidade Federal de Lavras, com o objetivo de verificar os efeitos da interação entre inoculação de sementes com o fungo Trichoderma harzianum, tratamento fungicida e adubação nitrogenada na cultura do milho. Utilizaram-se sementes dos híbridos AG7575 e DKB747, tratadas ou não com fungicidas, com e sem inóculo, antes e após três meses de armazenamento. Foram conduzidos três ensaios: no primeiro foi realizada a análise da qualidade fisiológica pelo teste de germinação, emergência e índice de velocidade de emergência e qualidade sanitária, adotando o índice de severidade do fungo e também o índice de crescimento micelial do fungo. Conclue-se que a qualidade fisiológica das sementes inoculadas não foi afetada. Em relação à análise sanitária o fungicida Captan® inibiu o crescimento micelial, bem como a severidade do fungo, enquanto o fungicida Maxin® não influenciou no crescimento. O segundo ensaio foi realizado em casa de vegetação, na qual foram avaliadas as características de altura de plantas, peso seco da parte aérea, peso seco de raízes e isolamento do fungo nas raízes. Pelos resultados, Trichoderma estava presente nas raízes das plantas de milho, estimulando maior acúmulo de matéria seca. O terceiro ensaio foi realizado em campo, em dois cultivos: safra normal e safrinha, com aplicações de nitrogênio nas dosagens (0, 60, 90, 120 kg.N.ha-1), com tratamentos fungicidas (Captan® e Maxim®), sem tratamento e inoculação (com e sem inóculo). As características agronômicas avaliadas foram estande inicial e final, altura de planta, índice de espiga, número de espigas, altura de inserção de espiga, peso de mil grãos e produtividade. Os resultados permitiram concluir que o Trichoderma harzianum estimula maior produção de grãos, aumento na altura de plantas e na inserção de espigas, dependendo da época de cultivo e da cultivar.
