Проведен анализ коллекции сортов гладиолуса гибридного. Из 109 изученных 26 сортообразцов имели по 235 замещающих клубнелуковиц. Из них более 50% сортов имели оранжево-лососевую и розово-малиновую окраску цветков, которая определяется антоциановыми пигментами. Причем, у сортов с белой, зеленой, желтой и розовой окраской цветка число замещающих клубнелуковиц не превышало 2 шт. Самый низкий коэффициент вегетативного размножения был у сортов с голубой окраской. В этой группе не было сортов, способных образовывать из одной материнской клубнелуковицы несколько новых.

В статье изложены результаты выращивания змееголовника молдавского в биоконтейнерах. Впервые выявлена возможность получения качественной рассады змееголовника молдавского в биоконтейнерах. На основе опытов 2008-2009 годов установлена высокая эффективность применения биоконтейнеров. Выход эфирного масла зависит от качественного состава почвы. Выявлены диагностические фармакогностические признаки сырья, что имеет прикладное значение при его стандартизации.

Ресурсосбережение - основное направление развития технологий производства продукции в растениеводстве. В ГНУ ВНИИОБ в течение 2001-2009 годов проведены исследования по возможности замены отвальной вспашки поверхностной обработкой при возделывании овощебахчевых культур. Предлагаемая технология обеспечивает снижение расхода топлива, оросительной нормы и энергоёмкости производства.

Artichoke is a very promising culture in the world due to a wide range of horticulturally valuable characteristics. Each 3 year the international symposiums take place around the world to join scientists, breeders, company managers, industrial experts. In this year, The «Bretagne Biotechnologie Vegetale» institute (France) was bidding to host the 7th symposium on artichoke under the aegis of International Society for Horticulture Science ISHS, and other institutions.

Timiryazevka is a familiar and a widely used name of Timiryazev Academy of Agriculture among students, professors and remains a homely place for all university mates ever graduated the academy. Annual meetings for former students from every corner of Russia including former Soviet Republics and foreign countries are hosted at Timiryazev Academy of Agriculture. In competitive market where vegetable seeds being sold widely by home and foreign companies, it is most important to improve management in seed production branch by the right-selected places where the seed production would be realized. This challenging task is that Russian Federation has various climatic and soil zones with different level of economic state.

In current-used agricultural techniques, the global financial crisis brings to light defects concerning high ecological risks and low economic effectiveness which is connected with climatic changes, energy sector and engineering specifications. In this work it is suggested a grow light cultivation to be a new approach for overcoming the ineffectiveness of some current agricultural techniques. Grow light cultivation is a way to maximize the potentiality enclosed in plant yield abilities.

The tested tomato cultivars had been bred and adapted to environmental factors with regard to open field cultivation in Nonchernozem zone of Russia. Agriculturally valuable traits were studied in many regions: Astrakhan, Volgograd, Belgorod, Primorie krai, and also in Uzbekistan, Moldavia, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Ukraine, and Byelorussia. Results that had been analyzed provided information concerning the ecological cultivar sustainable adaptation and required biodiversity. Russian tomato cultivars that possessed high adaptation characteristics were tested for 2 years in open field conditions of Bulgaria and Russia.
