Assessment is made for heat-resistance of 10 promising domestic and foreign apple varieties, as well as for their drought- resistance (leaf tissue water content, water holding capacity and turgorescence); also, impact of weather conditions on implementation of its drought and heat resistance by the research subject is determined. The article highlights the best in Ukraine’s Forest-Steppe environment by the above economical and biological properties apple varieties.

In the article, on the example of different sorts and hybrids of sorgo, efficiency of the use of mineral feed is considered in technology of his growing which positively influences on the size of puff surface and it fotosintetichnu activity, promoting the productivity of plants here.

Те article reflects summary of hybridization and assessment of genetic value of pollen-sterile maternal lines of various origin and tetraploid pollinators produced by Bila Tserkva selection. High differential potential of pollinator-testers has been established. Best components exhibiting high combinative features have been detected, which served as a baseline for establishing MS (male sterile) hybrids of sugar beets.

The article details economical value, directions of use for valuable legume crop, pea for grain production purposes, growth rates of its production during recent years worldwide and in our country, development of its varietal resources in Ukraine. A complete characterization has been provided for new pea varieties meant for grain production listed in the State Register of Varieties Suitable for Dissemination in Ukraine in 2012, for which descriptions are available.

Scope of protection of plant variety rights granted to variety owner as provided for by Ukrainian legislation is established. Thus, basis is created to enable comparative analyzes of the national system of plant variety protection with analogous sys-terns existing in other countries, in particular, the protection available with utility patent.

Вивчено зміни здатності до проростання і схожості насіння жита озимого сортів Інтенсивне 95, Інтенсивне 99 та Сіверське під час зберігання за умов охолодження. Встановлено, що господарську та технологічну довговічність зерно жита зберігає протягом 1–2 років, а біологічну – 5 років. Найвищі показники здатності до проростання і схожості за всіх станів зерна визначено у сорту жита озимого Сіверське, а найнижчі – Інтенсивне 99.

Показано напрями використання круп’яної культури – сорго звичайного (двокольорового), області його вирощування, застосування в різних галузях народного господарства, значення в народному господарстві (кормовиробництво та харчова промисловість), подана характеристика нових сортів сорго звичайного (двокольорового) (ідентифікаційні ознаки та господарчі показники), внесених до Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні у 2012 р. та мають Офіційний опис.
