The peculiarities of ice-forming in the stems of 7 cultivars and forms of blackberry have been determined by means of the differential thermal analysis. The authors have established the possibility of controlling the acclimation and loss of frost- resistance by tissues caused by dehydration. The control is possible on the basis of the data about exothermal processes in the tissues.

На основании. данных о прохождении экзотермических процессов в тканях установлено, что развитие их морозоустойчивости и еѐ потери вследствие обезвоживания можно контролировать. | За допомогою диференційно- термічного аналізу у зимовий період визначено особливості перебігу процесу льодоутворення у стеблах семи сортів і форм ожини. Встановлено, що на основі даних про проходження екзотермічних процесів у тканинах можна контролювати розвиток їхньої морозостійкості та втрату її внаслідок зневоднення.

The plants with different level of drought resistance have been selected from apricot varieties and forms introduced on the South Coast of the Crimea. From the studied varieties the most drought resistance ones are: Vardaguin Vagdaas, Luchak Sumbarskiy, Sulina, LE-132. Из набора рассмотренных сортов и форм абрикоса, интродуцированных на Южный берег Крыма, выделены растения с высокой засухоустойчивостью: Вардагуйн Вагдаас, Лючак  Сумбарский, Sulina, LE- 132. Из них Вардагуйн Вагдаас и LE-132 могут быть рекомендованы для дальнейшего использования в селекции на этот признак | Подано результати вивчення посухостійкості 15 сортів та 6 форм абрикоса в умовах Півдня України. З набору розглянених сортів і форм абрикоса, інтродукованих на Південний берег Криму, виділено рослини з високою посухостійкістю: Вардагуйн Вагдаас, Лючак Сумбарський, Sulina, LE-132. В табличном варианте представлено детальное описание 55 основных разновидностей пшеницы мягкой и 32 разновидности твердой. В практическом применении эти результаты предоставляют возможность селекционерам,  семеноводам и сортоиспытателям быстро ориентироваться в определении разновидностей пшеницы, так как сегодня это одна из основных методик для еѐ морфологической систематики. | Приведені результати систематики і морфологічного опису двох основних видів пшениці м'якої (Triticum aestivum L.) і твердої (Triticum durum Desf.). У табличному варіанті предста влений детальний опис 55 основних різновидностей пшениці м'якої і 32 твердої. У практичному застосуванні ці результати надають можливість селекціонерам, насіннєзнавцям і сортовипробувачам швидко зорієнтуватися у визначенні різновидностей пшениці.

The article deals with agronomic characters of sugar beet MS hybrids developed on the basis of parental components with resistance to Fusarium rots during vegetation period, which were found in studies with the ecological variety test of Be- taintercross. Possibility of combining high productivity and disease resistance in one genotype was confirmed as matter of principle.

Подтверждена принципиальная возможность совмещения в одном генотипе высокой продуктивности и устойчивости к заболеванию. | У статті наведено показники господарсько-цінних ознак ЧС гібридів цукрового буряку, створених на основі батьківських компонентів, стійких проти фузаріозних гнилей під час вегетації, одержаних при вивченні в екологічному сортовипробуванні БЕТАІНТЕРКРОС. Results of four-years assessment of approximately 90 winter wheat varieties at post- registration research on the background of crops chemical protection and in its absence at Biloczerkivska DSDS (forest- steppe zone) and Borodianska DSDS (subforest zone) are represented in this article. Methods of their immunological assessment and determination of potential productivity have been developed too. Authors are recommending to conduct immunological assessment of varieties on their natural background of diseases development and assess potential productivity in conditions of plants chemical protection as this is the element of crop growing technology.

Авторы рекомендуют проводить  иммуннологическую оценку сортов на естественном фоне развития основных болезней, а потенциальную продуктивность определять при химической защите растений, как составляющей технологии выращивания культуры. | У статті представлено чотирирічні результати оцінки стійкості близько 90 сортів пшениці озимої за післяреєстраційного вивчення на фоні хімічного захисту посівів і без нього на Білоцерківській (лісостепова зона) і Бородянській ДСДС (поліська зона). Вдосконалювались методики їхньої імунологічної оцінки і визначення потенційної продуктивності. Автори рекомендують проводити імунологічну оцінку сортів на природному фоні розвитку хвороб і визначати потенційну продуктивність за хімічного захисту рослин, як складової технології вирощування культури.

The main procedure applied in breeding was individual multifold selection of elite ears from the existing local blends and artificial crossing of lines selected to the purpose of improving economically valuable characteristics and identifying the inheritance. Five years of breeding (1912-1917 pp.) resulted in creation of three Winter Wheat varieties: Kooperatorka (0194), Zemka (0158) and Stepniachka(0119). In 1918, the Council of People’s Commissars of USSR has parted the Breeding department of Odessa Research Field to independent Odessa agricultural breeding station recognizing development of plant varieties by the Department.
