Analyzed has been conducted on parameters of productivity and efficiency increase for Helios and Comandor varieties of spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) on fertilized NPK background after soya as a forecrop.

Apiotrichum is a diverse anamorphic basidiomycetous yeast genus, and its mitogenome characterization has not been revealed. In this study, we assembled two Apiotrichum mitogenomes and compared them with mitogenomes from Agaricomycotina, Pucciniomycotina and Ustilaginomycotina. The mitogenomes of Apiotrichum gracile and A. gamsii comprised circular DNA molecules, with sizes of 34,648 bp and 38,096 bp, respectively. Intronic regions were found contributed the most to the size expansion of A. gamsii mitogenome. Comparative mitogenomic analysis revealed that 6.85–38.89% of nucleotides varied between tRNAs shared by the two Apiotrichum mitogenomes. The GC content of all core PCGs in A. gamsii was lower than that of A. gracile, with an average low value of 4.97%. The rps3 gene differentiated the most among Agaricomycotina, Pucciniomycotina and Ustilaginomycotina species, while nad4L gene was the most conserved in evolution. The Ka/Ks values for cob and rps3 genes were > 1, indicating the two genes may be subjected to positive selection in Agaricomycotina, Pucciniomycotina and Ustilaginomycotina. Frequent intron loss/gain events and potential intron transfer events have been detected in evolution of Agaricomycotina, Pucciniomycotina and Ustilaginomycotina. We further detected large-scale gene rearrangements between the 19 mitogenomes from Agaricomycotina, Pucciniomycotina and Ustilaginomycotina, and fifteen of the 17 mitochondrial genes shared by Apiotrichum varied in gene arrangements. Phylogenetic analyses based on maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference methods using a combined mitochondrial gene dataset revealed different taxonomic assignment of two Apiotrichum species, wherein A. gamsii had a more closely relationship with Trichosporon asahii. This study served as the first report on mitogenomes from the genus Apiotrichum, which promotes the understanding of evolution, genomics, and phylogeny of Apiotrichum.

Показано напрями використання круп’яної культури – сорго звичайного (двокольорового), області його вирощування, застосування в різних галузях народного господарства, значення в народному господарстві (кормовиробництво та харчова промисловість), подана характеристика нових сортів сорго звичайного (двокольорового) (ідентифікаційні ознаки та господарчі показники), внесених до Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні у 2012 р. та мають Офіційний опис.

Мета. Встановити особливості формування врожайності та якості насіння сортів льону олійного (Linum humile Mill.) в умовах Західного Лісостепу України. Методи. Дослідження проводили впродовж 2020–2021 рр. на дослідному полі Хмельницької філії Українського інституту експертизи сортів рослин (с. Требухівці, Летичівський р­н, Хмельницька обл.). Сівбу здійснювали в другій декаді квітня, норма висіву насіння – 8 млн шт./га. Предметом досліджень були сорти льону олійного ‘Орфей’, ‘Світлозір’ і ‘Водограй’. Закладання дослідів, оцінювання матеріалу, фенологічні спостереження та біометричні вимірювання рослин, збирання врожаю виконували відповідно до «Методики проведення кваліфікаційної експертизи сортів рослин групи технічних і кормових на придатність до поширення в Україні». Показники якості насіння льону олійного визначали згідно з «Методикою проведення кваліфікаційної експертизи сортів рослин на придатність до поширення в Україні». Результати. Оптимальні умови Західного Лісостепу України сприяли своєчасному настанню фенологічних фаз росту та розвитку, а також несуттєвому варіюванню тривалості періоду вегетації (від 96 до 99 діб) рослин льону олійного. Їхню продуктивність оцінювали за такими показниками, як кількість коробочок і маса насіння з однієї рослини. За умови сівби 25 квітня та норми висіву насіння 8,0 млн шт./га найвищою врожайністю характеризувався сорт ‘Світлозір’ (1,45 т/га), найнижчою – ‘Орфей’ (0,8 т/га). Оцінювання за біохімічними показниками та визначення вмісту сирого протеїну, олії й жирних кислот (пальметинової, стеаринової, олеїнової, лінолевої, ліноленової, гондоїнової, ейкозенової та ерукової) здійснювали для сортів ‘Орфей’, ‘Світлозір’ і ‘Водограй’. Так, ‘Орфей’ характеризувався найбільшою кількістю білка в насінні – 24,15%; ‘Світлозір’ мав показник 22,74%; ‘Водограй’ – 22,26%. Високою часткою олії в перерахунку на абсолютно суху речовину відзначився ‘Водограй’ – 45,6%, що на 2,19% більше ніж в сорту ‘Орфей’. Уміст ліноленової кислоти варіювався від 45,703 (‘Орфей’) до 48,261% (‘Світлозір’), а ерукову протягом досліджень не виявлено в жодному з сортів. Висновки. Сорти ‘Орфей’, ‘Світлозір’ і ‘Водограй’ характеризувалися понад 35%­м умістом олії в насінні, що відповідає вимогам ДСТУ 7577:2014, та забезпечили якість товарної продукції льону олійного. | Purpose. To determine the peculiarities of yield and seed quality formation of varieties of linseed (Linum humile Mill.) in the conditions of the Western Forest Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. The research was conducted in 2020–2021 at the experimental field of the Khmelnytskyi branch of the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Varieties Examination (Trebukhivtsi village, Letychivskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region). Sowing was carried out in the second decade of April, the sowing rate was 8.0 million seeds per hectare. Subjects of the research were oil flax varieties ‘Orfei’, ‘Svitlozir’ and ‘Vodohrai’. The experimental design, evaluation of material, phenological observations and biometric measurements of plants, harvesting were carried out in accordance with the “Methodology for the qualification examination of plant varieties of the technical and fodder group for suitability for distribution in Ukraine”. The quality indicators of linseed were determined according to the “Methodology of qualification examination of plant varieties for suitability for distribution in Ukraine”. Results. The optimal conditions of the Western Forest Steppe of Ukraine contributed to the timely onset of the phenological phases of growth and development, as well as to the insignificant variation in the duration of the vegetation period (from 96 to 99 days) of the flax plants. Productivity was assessed using indicators such as the number of pods and the weight of seeds per plant. Under the condition of sowing on 25 April and the sowing rate of 8.0 million seeds per hectare, the highest yield was characterised by the variety “Svitlozir” (1.45 t/ha), the lo­west – ‘Orfei’ (0.8 t/ha). The varieties ‘Orfei’, ‘Svitlozir’ and ‘Vodohrai’ were evaluated by biochemical indicators and the content of crude protein, oil and fatty acids (palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic, linolenic, gondoic, eicosapentaenoic and erucic) was determined. Thus, ‘Orfei’ was characterised by the highest amount of protein in the seeds – 24.15%; ‘Svitlozir’ had an indicator of 22.74%; ‘Vodohrai’ – 22.26%. A high percentage of oil in the total dry matter was found in ‘Vodohrai’ – 45.6%, which is 2.19% more than in ‘Orfei’. The content of linolenic acid varied from 45.703 (‘Orfei’) to 48.261% (‘Svitlozir’) and erucic acid was not detected in any of the varieties during the study. Conclusions. The varieties ‘Orfei’, ‘Svitlozir’ and ‘Vodohrai’ were characterised by more than 35% oil content in seeds, which meets the requirements of State Standard 7577:2014 and ensures the quality of marketable oil flax products.

Interpretation of the main regulations of low of Ukraine "About protection of rights for plant varieties", regulating property and unproperty relations, which arise while reception, use, protection, alienations and stopping of act of right for plant variety in state.

Introduction. National varietal plant resources are of particular importance for the economic development of Ukraine, because they ensure the stability of the crop industry as a component of the country’s food security. The analysis of the historiography of the development of the state variety testing since 1923 showed the lack of a systematic study of the formation of the State Register of Plant Varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine (hereinafter – the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine). Purpose. To reveal the historical stages of the formation of national plant varietal resources, and substantiate the concept of their development. Methods. A collection of commonly known plant varieties that are or were in commercial circulation. Research methods – general scientific: hypothesis, observation, analysis, synthesis method for drawing conclusions; source study database with elements of extrapolation, which is formed based on the results of field, laboratory and analytical research. Results. The study of the history of state variety testing regulation made it possible to find out that the variety testing netork in Ukraine was established in 1923. The refore, the formation of national varietal plant resources has its own almost a hundred-year history. At all historical stages of the formation of national varietal resources, a variety with a complex of its morphobiological and economically valuable characteristics remains the subject of the research. State registration of a variety or rights to it ensures the commercial circulation of the variety. Identification of plant varieties, as the basis for varietal certification, increases the turnover of varieties on the market, ensures the growth of production volumes and improves the quality of crop products. Plant varieties distributed on the territory of Ukraine correspond to the criteria of distinctness, uniformity and stability generally accepted in international practice; meet the needs of consumers in terms of economically valuable characteristics; do not threaten the environment and human health. The formation of national plant varietal resources takes place in stages with the tendency to increase the economically valuable criteria, which ensures the competitiveness of the modern market of varieties and seeds in accordance with international requirements. Conclusions. The formation of plant varietal resources to meet the needs of consumers and/or breeding practice in Ukraine took place due to rather long historical stages of development and introduction of plant diversity, forms, criteria and methodology of varietal testing in time and space. The substantiation of the historical aspects of the concept of the varietal resources formation will allow optimizing the structure of the variety testing network, organizational foundations of the state registration of varieties and the protection of breeder’s rights. | Вступ. Національні сортові рослинні ресурси мають особливе значення для економічного розвитку України, адже вони забезпечують стабільність галузі рослинниц­тва як складової продовольчої безпеки держави. Державна реєстрація сорту або прав на нього забезпечує комерційний обіг сорту. Ідентифікація сортів рослин як основа сортової сертифікації збільшує обіг сортів на ринку, забезпечує зростання обсягів виробництва та підвищення якості продукції рослинництва. Сорти рослин, поширені на території України, відповідають загальноприйнятим у міжнародній практиці критеріям відмінності, однорідності та стабільності; задовольняють потреби споживачів за господарсько-цінними характеристиками; не загрожують довкіллю і здоров’ю людини. Формування національних рослинних сортових ресурсів відбувається поетапно з тенденцією підвищення господарсько-цінних критеріїв, що забезпечує конкурентність сучасного ринку сортів і насіння відповідно до міжнародних вимог. Висновки. Формування рослинних сортових ресурсів для задоволення потреб споживачів та/або селекційної практики в Україні відбувалось завдяки доволі тривалим історичним етапам розвитку та інтродукції рослинного різноманіття, форм, критеріїв і методології сортовипробувальної справи в часі і просторі. The article highlights main causes and provides reasons for changes, depending on which methodological materials on the conduct of plant varieties examination on their stability for dissemination in Ukraine should be periodically republished.

The main reasons hindering expansion of assortment of horticultural crops and negatively affecting the provision of Ukraine’s population with horticultural production were discussed. The trend towards global unification of genotypes with parallel reduction of potential to andropoadaptability of chief horticultural crops is recognized as one of the main causes for instability in domestic horticulture crops production. Appropriate measures are proposed, including intensification of zonal specialization and intensification of the state protectionism over both domestic fruit farming and research developments, first of all in breeding and genetics, aimed at the ability to meet various requirements of producers, processors and consumers of fruits and berries to new cultivars.

Мета. Установити господарсько-економічну доцільність вирощування підщеп волоського горіха. Методи. Сіянці волоського горіха, перспективні як підщепи в Україні, досліджували в розсадниках ФОП Затоковий В. Ю. (с. Слобода Комарівці, Сторожинецький р-н, Чернівецька обл.) упродовж 2018–2020 рр. Господарсько-економічну ефективність вирощування підщеп культури визначали за Методикою економічної та енергетичної оцінки типів плодоягідних насаджень, помологічних сортів і результатів технологічних досліджень у садівництві (2002). Результати. Для визначення економічної ефективності вирощування сіянців аналізували технологічну карту вирощування сіянців волоського горіха. Найбільша частка в структурі затрат припадала на оплату праці – 86,7%. Причиною цього було використання ручної праці, яка становила 96,5% від загальних затрат на технологію вирощування сіянців. Частка рівня механізації вирощування не перевищувала 3,5%. Загальні витрати пального на 1 га становили 120,7 л, або 2957,20 грн у грошо­вому еквіваленті. Таким чином, затрати на паливо займали незначну частку – 0,4% в собівартості одного сіянця. Один гектар площі забезпечував вихід 65 тис. шт. сіянців волоського горіха, що становило 1625 тис. грн за умови вартості їх реалізації 25 грн/шт. Матеріальні витрати при цьому становили 46,16 тис. грн/га (загальні витрати – 712,43 тис. грн). Тому показник собівартості був гранично низьким, а рівень рентабельності – гранично високим. Висновки. Вирощування сіянців волоського горіха сортів ‘Слава України’, ‘Пам’яті Затокового’, ‘Лисичанський’ є економічно доцільним. Це зумовлено досить низькою собівартістю одного сіянця (10,82 грн) та високою рентабельність виробництва вихідного селекційного матеріалу для щеплення та закладання промислових насаджень культури.
