Test System Design for Determining the Characteristics Properties of Submersible Type Waste Water Pumps Полный текст

In this study; Design and production of a fixed testing platform is made for determining characteristics properties of submersible type waste water pumps that requires between 3 - 22 kW energy. Submersible waste water pumps are used for agricultural plants (for transporting liquid animal fertilizer etc.), drain aging of waste water in bridges and underpasses and other industrial applications. Accurate determination of pump performances in pump manufacturing directly affects the improvement and development of R & D activities For this aim, this study was carried out in a firm which operates in Konya industry and produces different types of pumps. The test stand has been designed and manufactured in 3 different lines as DN 80, DN 125 and DN 150 standard pipe diameters according to TS 12599 standard and centrifugal pump design principles. At the end of the pump tests, the system creates the pump characteristic curves and gives the output data to the user.

This study aimed to investigate appropriate seed rates for legume-turnip intercrops under different harvest stages. Turnip (Brassica rapa L. var. rapa) was sown with common vetch (Vicia sativa L.), Hungarian vetch (Vicia pannonica Crantz) and pea (Pisum sativum ssp. arvense L. Poir) in 2014 with four different combinations (100% legume, 75% legume + 25% turnip, 50% legume + 50% turnip, 100% turnip) and catted in two different times when the beginning and end of the flowering of turnip. The study was conducted in Yozgat-Turkey with three replicates. Hay yield, protein yield, ADF, NDF, Ca, Mg, P, K, Land Equivalent Ratio, Competitive Ratio and Aggressivity characteristics were determined in view of the combinations. The results of this study, 50%HV + 50%T and sole pea harvested turnip was at the beginning of flowering stage were the best treatments. On the other hand, when harvest was done at end of the flowering of turnip 50%P + 50%T, 75%P + 25%T and 50%HV + 50%T intercropping were the high yielding treatment.

Çalışma genç çiftçi desteklemeleri hibe programına başvuru yapan üreticilerin sosyo-ekonomik özelliklerinin incelenerek, kırsal alandan göç eğilimlerinin belirlenmesi amacıyla yürütülmüştür. TR-83 bölgesinde (Tokat, Amasya, Çorum, Samsun) 2016 yılında Gıda, Tarım ve Hayvancılık Bakanlığı “Genç Çiftçi Projesi” Destek Programına başvurmuş olan üreticiler ana popülasyonu oluşturmuştur. Örnek hacminin belirlenmesinde Neyman yönteminden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada desteklemeden yararlanan 120 üretici ve yararlanamayan 140 üretici olmak üzere toplam 260 üretici ile görüşülmüştür. Veriler destelemeden yararlanma durumuna göre karşılaştırmalı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Üreticilerin göç etme eğilimleri incelendiğinde, kent ortamında yaşamaya uygun imkân olsa göç ederim diyen üretici oranı yaklaşık %17’dir. Göç etmek isteyen üreticilerin yanı sıra kararsız olan üreticiler de (%4) bulunmaktadır. Üreticiler arasında yaklaşık %21 göç potansiyeli bulunmaktadır. Göç etme eğilimi olan üreticiler yaş grubu düşük olan gruplarda görülmektedir. Kırsaldaki genç nüfusun kırsaldan göç etme eğilimlerini etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılan Lojistik Regresyon sonucunda; eğitim seviyesi yüksek, tarım dışı alanlardan gelir sahibi, köy yaşantısının zorlukları olduğunu düşünen, köyde yaşam standardını düşük bulan ve burada kazandığıyla geçinemeyenlerin, diğerlerine göre göç etme eğiliminin daha fazla olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to indicate and analyse the factors that affect the decision of the Prespa bean producers to implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) in their farmlands. Additionally, the social characteristics of the producers are analyzed in order to obtain a broader picture. To achieve the above objectives, a logit model was applied as well as descriptive statistics for the analysis of the personal and social characteristics of farmers. The research was conducted in the Florina Prefecture of Western Macedonia through questionnaires that were filled in during personal interviews with the producers. The results of the research showed that growing PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) products, attending training seminars, the educational level of the producers, the earned income, the communication and information by an agricultural engineer affect significantly the decision of the producers to apply Good Agricultural Practices.

This study was carried out to determine the effect of non-genetic factors on growth and reproductive traits in Saanen goats. For this aim, total of 274 Saanen goats and kids were investigated for growth and reproductive traits in South Marmara Region of Turkey. Fertility parameters were evaluated during two reproductive years. Saanen kids were measured from birth to 6 months of life. The average live weights at birth, weaning, 60th, 90th, 120th and 180th days of age were calculated and determined as 3.05±0.04kg, 11.80±0.27kg, 12.26±0.08kg, 14.20±0.32kg, 17.41±0.45kg, 25.01±0.65kg, respectively. The effects of sex and birth type on live weights until 90th days of age; maternal age only on birth weight; month at birth on all of investigated days were found significant statistically. The pregnancy, birth rate per pregnancy (BRP), birth rate per mating (BRM), infertility, abortion, kidding rate (single, twin or triplet), survival rate (until weaning), number of kids per parturition (NKP), number of kids per mating (NKM) were found; 92.98%, 85.07%, 91.25%, 7.02%, 8.75%, 36.12%, 49.00%, 14.88%, 89.13% and 1.74±0.06, 1.42±0.07 respectively. The effects of maternal age on all rates (out of BRM and abortion rate); the year on birth, abortion, single kidding rate, survival rate and NKM were found significant for reproductive traits. The advanced reproductive performance and rapid growth rates were observed in Saanen goats. Environmental factors such as age, year, sex, birth type and month at birth were found significant on some growth and reproductive traits in Saanen. So consideration of these factors could be useful as a selection criteria in dairy goat breeding.

Physalis peruviana (PP) is a popular exotic fruit due to its functional food properties. This product has a wide range of uses in the medical field, including treatments for cancer, malaria, hepatitis, dermatitis, rheumatism, weight loss, and diabetes. In this study, the PP element concentrations were investigated using a Wave Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (WDXRF). Al, Ca, Fe, Mn, P, S, Zn, Cl, K, Mg, Na, F, Si, and B were detected, and the Ca, Fe, Zn, P, Na, Mg elements were found in significant amounts. Therefore, PP has some important health elements. For example, Mg and Mn may be associated with diabetes control. WDXRF is a cheap, quick, and non-destructive technique used in the elemental analysis of plant samples.

This study was conducted with aim to investigate the effects of Isatis tinctoria leaves extract on growth performance, pigmentation and protection against Aeromonas hydrophila of Pseudotropheus acei. Five diets were prepared by adding four different ratios fish woad extraction (Woad: W1: 1%, W1.5: 1.5 %, W2: 2 %, W2.5: 2.5% and C: control diet 0 %). Three replicates were conducted for each treatment. One hundred twenty fish and 15 tanks (80 x 30 x 80 cm) were used in recirculating system. In the end of 90 days, there were no differences in terms of weight gain, FCR and SGR of Pseudotropheus acei feed with diets added with different levels of Isatis tinctoria extraction compare to control group. Isatis tinctoria extract was not found effect on survival rates in Pseudotropheus acei after A. hydrophila infection. However, there were no differences on pigmentation of Pseudotropheus acei. Isatis tinctoria extract administration did not provide protection against Aeromonas hydrophila infection.

Parsley leaves (Petroselinum crispum L.) weighing 100 ± 0.09 g were dehydrated from moisture content of 82.24 ± 0.07% to 10.01 ± 0.02 % (wet basis) using the microwave (MD), convective (CD), solar oven (SOD), sun (SD) and natural (ND) drying. Drying in MD, CD, SOD, SD, and ND was completed at 18±1.15, 61±0.58, 255±10, 330±5.29, and 1530±11.55 min, respectively. The energy consumption of MD and CD was measured as 0.213±0.009 and 0.427±0.015 kWh, respectively. In microwave drying, 700 W microwave output power was applied while convective drying was used with 50°C temperature and 1m/s air velocity. The sun and solar oven drying processes were carried out under the same conditions at the same time. The average temperature of the system during the solar oven drying was 81.7±1.5°C whereas the airflow in the system was 0.5 m/s. The data obtained from the experiments were also modeled using twelve different thin-layer drying equations, and thus the theoretical data were obtained. According to these theoretical data, the best model in the microwave and natural drying was Alibas’s equation while the most suitable model in the solar and convective drying was modified Henderson and Pabis’s model. On the other hand, it was seen that the best model in the solar oven drying was the Page equation. As a result, considering both quality and drying parameters, it was determined that MD and SOD were the most suitable method for drying of parsley leaves.

Ülkemizde mısır üretimindeki artış bir yandan sürerken, bir yandan da dünyada mısırın soyadan sonra en çok genetiği değiştirilmiş ürün olması nedeniyle tüketicinin mısır ile ilgili algısı her geçen gün daha olumsuz olmaktadır. Genetiği değiştirilmiş mısırın potansiyel olumsuz etkileri tartışılmakta iken, mısırda insan sağlığı için gözden kaçmaması gereken en büyük tehdit mikotoksinlerdir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’nin 24 ilinde bulunan 552 köyün 634 tarlasından toplanan mısır numuneleri GDO, aflatoksin B1, toplam aflatoksin, fumonisin B1, fumonisin B2, T-2 toksin, HT-2 toksin, zearalenon ve deoksinivalenol yönünden incelenmiştir. Tarama yapılan mısır numunelerinin hiçbirinde transgenik elemente rastlanmamıştır. Analiz edilen 634 numunenin sadece bir tanesinde Türk Gıda Kodeksi limitinin üzerinde aflatoksin B1 miktarına rastlanmış, numunelerin toplam aflatoksin değerleri Türk Gıda Kodeksi limitinin altında çıkmıştır. Paçal oluşturulan numunelerin hiçbirinde T-2 toksin, HT-2 toksin, zearalenon ve deoksinivalenol tespit edilmezken, fumonisin tespit edilen numunelerin toplam fumonisin miktarı Türk Gıda Kodeksi limitinin altında bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlar, yerli üretim mısırların gıda güvenliği açısından uygun standartları sağladığını göstermektedir.
