Delayed effects of a juvenile hormone analogue orally administered to Tenebrio molitor L. adults (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae)

英语. Adult pairs of Tenebrio molitor L. were orally given an HJ-analogue (Altosid, ZR 515 produced by Zoecon Corp.). We observed the consequences of the treatment upon 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th instar larvae, born from the laid eggs. The larvae completed their 4th moult about 12 days after the controls, but all 4 larval instars were, on average, longer. Several larvae died during each instar and only 50% completed the 4th moult. The effects of the two given doses were fairly similar. We observed significant differences only in 1st and 2nd instar larvae and they concerned both the mortality rate and the instar length

Le larve nate dalle coppie trattate hanno compiuto la IV muta circa 12 giorni dopo i controlli, ed anche tutti gli stadi larvali sono stati, in media, piu lunghi. Ad ogni stadio sono morte numerose larve e solo il 50% di quelle nate hanno compiuto la IV muta. Gli effetti delle due dosi somministrate nei trattamenti sono stati abbastanza simili. Significative differenze sono state osservate solo nelle larve di primo e di secondo stadio e riguardano sia la mortalita che la durata degli stadi
