Information retrieval system for entomology literature (Philippines)

The purpose of the system is to locate documents through the use of descriptor words to find the reference to the document. Articles are being numbered consecutively and catalogued; authors and descriptors indexed and recorded; and numbered articles filed and stored for easy retrieval by content not merely the title. The system is open to all researchers worldwide and was set to serve them who may lack nearby libraries or wish to supplement their own library. Printed copies of publications are available upon request to user-researchers included in the department mailing list from different agricultural institutions and universities
