Effects of supplemental copper and excess dietary methionine on the growing performance of broiler chicks

To investigate the effect of supplemental Cu on excess dietary methionine in broiler chicks, 3 x 3 factorial experiment was carried out for 4 weeks. Body weight gain was significantly influenced by supplemental Cu level (p0.01). As Cu level increased, growth depression increased. Supplemental Cu exerted an influence on feed efficiency. Also significance on interaction of methionine x Cu for feed efficiency (p0.05) was detected
