The chemical composition and nutritive value for pig fattening of Osijek hybrids OSSK 596 and OSSK 664 produced quite widely and having a high yield of grain were investigated. The nutrients content of the investigated hybrids is within the limits characteristic for this fodder. OSSK 596 hybrid has more crude proteins, fats, cellulose and ash and a lower NET content. Nutrients digestibility of both hybrids is very good. Significant differences are noticed regarding the raw cellulose in both hybrids, but there are corresponding data in the literature. OSSK 596 hybrid has a little higher nutritive value expressed in digestible proteins. The total energy nutrient value of the investigated hybrids expressed in starch and oats feed units is very high and equal for both hybrids. OSSK 596 hybrid is somewhat richer in lysine, histidine, isoleucine, tyrosine and phenyl alanine. This hybrid also contains some other amino acids, except arginine. The investigated double cross hybrids, OSSK 596 and OSSK 644, belonging to late vegetation groups, make quality fodder, rich in energy.
