Changes in the whey protein fraction in mastitic milk associated with different causative organisms

Relative mobilities and proportion of the various protein fractions in mastitic milk associated with different causative organisms have been studied. As compared to normal milk, significantly high proportions of blood serum albumin and immunoglobulins were present in all the mastitic milk samples. A high concentration of blood serum albumin (50.32%) was noticed on the paper electrophorograms of whey proteins extracted from mastitic milk associated with staphylococcal infection
