Treatment of pupae of Spodoptera litura Fabricius of different age groups (60-64, 84-88, 108-112 and 132-136 hr) with 2, 10, 30 and 50 myg of 6-7 epoxy-3, ethyl-1 (p-ethyl phenoxy)-7, methylnonane resulted in death, total or partial failure of emergence, formation of adultoids and sterility in adults. An increase in the dose of the juvenoid significantly increased the number of deaths and occurrence of failure of emergence but age did not show a significant relationship with these effects
