Six population namely; P1, P2; F1; B1; B2 and F2 of the five different crosses involving diverse parents; Prakash, RH-30, Laha-101, T-59 and Aprpressed mutant were studied with a view to know the nature and magnitude of gene effect controlling oil content. Keeping in view the type of gene effects different breeding methods have been suggested for different crosses
