Diallel analysis over environments for seed yield and 100-seed weight in pea

The present study was undertaken on 12 parents of pea (Pisum sativum L.) and their all possible cross combinations (excluding reciprocals) raised under six environments. The combining ability studies made over the environments exhibited that general (GCA) and specific (SCA) combining ability were influenced by the environments. It indicated that to have the unbiased estimates of GCA and SCA, studies should be carried out over a wide range of environments
