Three days old broiler chicks were fed 8 different diets containing no supplemental phosphorus, DCP, three levels of phytic acid, and three levels of Ca-Mg phytate to investigate the effects of sources and levels of supplemental phosphorus on bone growth, and calcification, and serum Ca and P. Bird with longer tibia and femur had heavier final body weight with a high correlation (R=0.70). Increasing the level of dietary phosphorus resulted in increased content of Ca, P and total ash in tibia and femur. However, phosphorus sources did not affect bone parameters
