On the average, the results obtained from both observation periods showed consistent improvement in egg production performance of native chickens with supplementation of better quality feeds. Birds given commercial layer mash and farm-mixed as supplementary feeds laid more eggs and consumed lesser amount of feeds compared to those supplemented with single ingredient feeds (coconut, palay, corn). Corn tended to support better performance of the birds than either palay or coconut. The size of eggs laid by the birds was not influenced by the kind of supplementary feed given. Results also showed that when the birds were not allowed to incubate their own eggs, they showed greater response in performance with better quality supplementary feeds
