Rural electrification is a major program of the Philippine government, this infrastructure being acknowledged as an important component in the development of the country particularly its hinterland. The general objective of this present study is to gather baseline information on the social and economic status of the areas and households within the area coverage of the ILECO II electrification program. The results of this study will be used as a basis for an in-depth evaluation of the impact of the program which will be made after a lapse of some years
