Parbo, I.C. | Obien, S.R.
The levels of nitrogen, irrigation schedules and row spacing did not show significant effect on the leaf area, yield and grade index of topped flue-curred tobacco, however, the crop value of tobacco was significantly affected by row spacing regardless of nitrogen level and irrigation schedule. Tobacco planted at 80 cm row spacing had higher crop value (28,890 pesos/ha) than the 100 cm row spacing (26,117 pesos/ha). There was no significant interaction effect of nitrogen, irrigation and row spacing on the yield and quality of topped flue-cured tobacco which could be due to the occurrence of rainfall during the conduct of the study.
