The Polish Red cattle distinguishes itself with many traits of a high economic value. For maintenance of this breed the special program of breeding of Polish Red cattle in a small region of southern Poland has been worked out. The aim of this work is the immunogenic characteristics on the basis of blood groups and transferrin types of the population tested. In the present population the number of blood groups was diminished as compared with earlier investigations
