Ducks of native, Dutch, French and English origin were divided into three classes according to the 26-week body weight. Average egg number per layer ranged from 67 (K4) to 184 (KhO) and egg weight from 69.9(Khl) to 89.2 (Al) g. Differences among groups in laying performance, fertile eggs and number of ducklings were also found. Ducks with white plumage of French and English origin, brown Khaki Campbell and their crosses with Orpington showed higher laying performance than native ducks (170 to 184 eggs)
