Effect of triiodobenzoic acid on yield and quality of soybean

The effects of foliar application of growth regulator TIBA (2, 3, 5 triiodobenzoic) 1-50 ppm on the growth and quality of soybean were observed in field experiment. The results indicated that application of 10 ppm TIBA to soybean plant during the sixth taifoliage and 1-5 percent flowering increased the yield of soybean by 8 percent. This was due to 15 percent increase of the pod-set after receiving TIBA solution. The analysis showed that seed protein content increased by 7 percent. However there was significantly interaction found for the application time and the concentration of TIBA to oil content
