Study of Myofer antianemic effect upon hematologic values in Swedish Landrace piglets

The results are presented of examination of the red blood cell tests of the Swedish Landras breed of piglets treated with antianaemic product Myofer. The conclusion has been reached that the red cells are subjects to considerable changes to 30 days of age which is considered to be the most critical period in breeding of the piglets of meet-type hogs in industrial, farm conditions. All the parameters of red blood cells of Swedish Landras piglets treated with Myofer are within normal physiological range which assures a normal development and growth of the piglets. However, blood tests of piglets which were not treated show considerable diversions from the normal values which result in a stagnation of the number of erythrocytes, decrease of haemoglobine concentration in blood, a considerable decrease of haematocrits and a great decrease of the volumen of the erythrocytes.
