Effect of zink application on grain yield of maize grown on calcareous chernozem

The use of zinc has had different effects on the quantity of corn grains depending of the year of examination, terrain, dosage of chemical compound. The effect of NPK fertilizers applied as well as of zinc was different and in the majority of cases insignificant. The application of Zn/ha in ZnDTPA form had the same effect as 4 kg Zn/ha in the ZnSO4 form. In all 3 years of examination on all terrains the average quantity of grain with only one dosage of 4 kg Zn/ha was increased in relation to NPK variant for 0,21 t/ha. The greatest increase of grains was found on the terrain where the available phosphorus quantities in the soil were considerable.
