A study was conducted on adoption of improved farm practices in transplanted aman rice cultivation in two villages of Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. The relationships of ten selected characteristics of the farmers with their adoption behaviour were also explored. The improved practices included use of fertilizer, line-sowing, irrigation and use of insecticide. The adoption of fertilizer ranked first followed by insecticide use, line-sowing and irrigation. Analysis shows that age and flexibility had no relationship with adoption. The other variables which had significant relationships were cosmopoliteness, income, size of farm, materials possession, education, social participation, modernism and rationality.
