Leaf characteristics of Nicotiana tabacum haploids selected by photosynthetical efficiency

The leaf surface, chlorophyll content, and electrophoretic pattern of leaf proteins were studied in Nicotiana tabacum haploids selected by photosynthetical efficiency. The results, show a clear increase in leaf surface of selected haploids. Nevertheless, the chlorophyll content don't show significative variations and the electrophoretic pattern of leaf proteins only show quantitative differences in certain bands of the densitogram profile
