Studies on the effect of replacing triticale in the concentrate mixture for sheep by dried poultry droppings (DPD) and dried dung slurry (DDS) obtained from the 'biogas plant' revealed that, inspite of the high ash content of DPD and DDS (38.5 and 36.89%), the DM and CP intake, N-balance and the DCP values of the control (containing triticale) and experimental rations (triticale replaced by DPD and DDS) were more or less comparable. However, the digestibility coefficients of DM and NFE, and TDN values of the concentrate mixtures were adversely affected, when triticale was replaced by DPD or DDS. The average daily weight gain of sheep was significantly (P0.05) more in the control (triticale) than in the DPD and DDS groups
