This study has revealed that the macroscopic plate agglutination test is satisfactory as screening test for preliminary survey for leptosirosis in animals. The results of macroscopic plate agglutination test were comparable with the results of microscopic agglutination test which confirm a range between 79.7% to 97.3% depending on seritype used
