Variation of chemical composition of Iraqi sheep milk

140 individual sheep milk samples were taken at the lactation period from Dec. to June 1981, and were analysed for the moisture, fat, acidity, total protein, lactose, ash, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus content. Results showed that there was a wide variation in sheep milk constituents which may be related to the genetic properties or individually, or feeding or the health of the sheep
