Evaluation of the machines used for harvesting and preparation of corn cobs for feed

General view on the problem of production and utilization of fodders made of corn cobs is presented. Basing on practical experience, results of experiments the main technological variants of harvesting and preparation of corn cobs for conservation, with utilization of the technical means which are used presently or will be used in future, are discussed. In the second part of the paper the results of operation tests of the hitherto used technical means are presented. The coefficients and production parameters are specified. Basing on them the evaluation of field usability and general assessment of these machines have been carried out. (Author)
