Production results of small farms producing duck broilers

There was analysed production results of 17 farms supplying duck broilers in 1980-81 depending on flock number and fattening period length. High mortality percentage of ducklings reared in more numerous flocks and in rearing period longer than 56 days suggests that under present conditions 4,000 birds is the optimal number of duck broiler flock in 1 cycle and that rearing period cannot last over 56 days of duckling life
