Attempt of evaluation of feeding quality of new strains of rape with reduced content of glycosinolates at an early stage of breeding selection

Upon examining 40 strains of double-improved rape significant differences were stated in the body mass gain of animals (rats) - from 37 to 63 g within two weeks of the experiment - and in the coefficient of the feed conversion for the carcass weight increment - from 24.4 to 34.9 g of the feed mixture. No differences between PER (protein utilization) coefficients were found what was confirmed by a high content and a relatively low variation of the content of exogenic amino acids
