Among the varieties tested (Aramir, Gryf, Diva and Menuet) the highest yield gave the Aramir variety but its grain contained the least amount of protein. Higher grain and protein production was obtained at cultivation after root crops. The grain yield increased with increasing nitrogen rate up to 60 kg per hectare in the place after root crops and up to 90 kg per hectare after cereals whereas the content and yield of protein increased after both forecrops with increasing nitrogen rate up to 90 kg per hectare
