Reproductive performance and milk production in hybrid ewes

The fertility, prolificacy and milk production in 2 groups of crossbred Polish Merino x East Friesian and Wielkopolska x East Friesian as well as in ewes of all 3 parental breeds were investigated. The number of weaned lambs from ewes crossbred with Polish Merino and Wielkopolska breeds had increased by 30 and 27%. Crossing with East Friesian breed did not influence milk production in crossbred ewes
