Native natural enemies surveyed did not give adequate control. A study of natural enemies from other parts of South America led to the release of the pupal parasite Spilochalcis sp. nr. erythrina which was obtained in Brazil. The distribution of parasites of Brassolis sophorae in South America is tabulated
