The effect of triclabendazole was compared against the effect of bromphenofos on mature flukes, Fasciola hepatica, in naturally infested sheep. The former preparation was used at the doses of 5 and 10 mg/kg of body mass, the latter preparation at the dose of 16.5 mg/kg of body mass. Both preparations were administered perorally. The coprological analysis showed that the efficiencies of triclabendazole at the doses of 5 and 10 mg/kg were 100 and 99.51%, respectively. The efficiency of bromphenofos was 100%. The efficiencies of the two doses of triclabendazole and one dose of bromphenofos estimated on the basis of the postmortal parasitological scanning were 100% in all three cases. The two preparations displayed no side effects in the course of the experiment.
