Young cows developed by cross breeding of cows of indigenous cattle from Dimitrovgrad (SFRY) and bulls of Sharole and Limousin breed were fattened under production conditions. In the group of fattened animals weighing over 500 kg, half-breeds originating from Sharole revealed considerably higher daily gain in weight compared to Limousin breed. Smaller difference existed in gross daily gain in weight between tested groups of half-breeds when fattened over 450 kg of body weight, where as superiority of half-breeds originating from Sharole was less evident. In the group of fattened female animals weighting over 350 kg half-breeds originating from Sharole had also higher daily gain in weight compared to half-breeds developed from Limousin breed.
