General volume tables for the beech forests in N. Greece

The purpose of this study is to supply general volume tables for the beech forest in northern Greece. As research material 2.680 beech trees were used. The equation which seems to be fitted better to the data of the sampling is the following: Ve=a+bd(exp 2)h or Ve=0,0241061+0,0000343396d(exp 2)h, Where: Ve=The outside bark volume of the tree in m3, d=The outside bark b.h.d. in centimeters, h=The total tree height in meters
