1988
Torofder, Md. Glam Shamdane | Rahman, M. Azizur | Ahmed, Ali
Two years study conducted during the rabi seasons of 1985-86 and 1986-87 at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Jamalpur, Bangladesh revealed that the crop sown 20th November gave the highest yield (1733 kg/ha). The optimum period of sowing of wheat lies between 20th November to 5th December. Wheat, variety Kanchan with more number of spike/m(2), length of spike grain/ear and 1000-grain weight produced significantly higher yield (1980 kg/ha) as compared to that of Barkat, Akbar and Ananda.
