Rahman, A.R.M.S. | Parh, D.K.
Out of 100 exotic lines tested, 72 lines flowered and produced seeds, 16 lines flowered but did not produce any seed and 12 lines did not germinate. Coefficient of variation was maximum for yield/plant (50.85%) followed by number of pods/plant (45.26%) and 1000-seed weight (31.40%). The lowest coefficient of variation was observed for days to maturity (2.45%). Seed yield was positively and significantly correlated with plant height (0.276), number of pods/plant (0.755) and number of branches/plant (0.340). A negative significant correlation was observed between seed yield and days to 50% flowering (0.455).
