The Institute's work by field of activity is presented. The major crops were: barley, wine grapes, citrus, potatoes, and greenhouse and open-field vegetables. Work on the use of treated sewage effluent for irrigation is also included. Work in animal husbandry mostly comprised nutrition and breeding of sheep and goats
